The Epstein case has claimed another victim in Britain following the Mandelson scandal, when the former British ambassador to the US was removed from his post for his ties to the pedophile financier. Olly Robbins, a Foreign Office official, is facing resignation for failing to inform the government that Lord Mandelson had failed a suitability check.
"It's unforgivable that no minister, not even Downing Street, was informed," commented Prime Minister Keir Starmer. But Starmer himself has found himself in the crosshairs of the opposition, who are also clamoring for him to step down. The Downing Street chief, however, appears unwilling to resign. "He will not resign," assured the Labour leader's right-hand man, Darren Jones.
