Jean-Luc Brunel, a former modeling agent and close to the late American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead last night in his cell at the Parisian prison of La Santé.

Brunel was suspected of procuring Epstein the very young victims of abuse, often poor, whom he brought into the sexual exploitation circle. Among his accusers there is also Virginia Giuffre, with whom Prince Andrew recently reached a financial agreement that avoided a trial: the woman said she was forced to have sexual relations with the French agent.

The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed that Brunel, indicted for several rape of minors, hanged himself, and indicated that an investigation into the causes of death was launched.
