The intricate story of Eitan, the child who survived the tragedy of Mottarone , where he lost both parents, assigned in custody to his paternal aunt, but brought to Israel by his maternal grandfather, seems to finally come to an end, through a "kidnapping" that triggered a bitter judicial battle .

After the latest ruling by the Israeli Supreme Court, which confirmed his aunt - Aya Biran - and after the rejection of his grandfather's appeal - Shmuel Peleg - the little one will be able to return to Italy.

From what has been learned, the return is scheduled for next Friday, December 3, with a flight departing from Tel Aviv.

In his verdict - written in 17 pages - the judge of the Supreme Court of the Jewish State, Alex Stein, had set as a limit for the child's return on 12 December and recalled that the basic principle of the Hague Convention provides for "zero tolerance towards kidnappings and highlights the need for immediate restitution ".

"It is not debatable - he underlined - that the normal place of life of the minor is in Italy where he spent almost his entire life".
