An Italian has been kidnapped in Ecuador . The Farnesina communicates it.

We are talking about Panfilo Colonico, a chef from Abruzzo known as Benny.

The kidnapping took place in La Garzota, a district of the metropolis of Guayaquil.

The Italian embassy in Quito, explains the Foreign Ministry, is following the evolution of the situation.

From what we learn Colonico, originally from Sulmona and for a couple of years in Ecuador, was taken from his restaurant by four people, two of whom dressed as police officers.

The seizure has not yet been followed by any claim.
