There were many bars and restaurants that remained open last night, in various places in Holland, despite the bans. The government, last Friday, decided to extend the closures and the owners of public establishments have implemented their protest especially in the smaller cities, with tolerance on the part of local authorities.
Instead in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht the mayors have taken a stand against the "illegal" openings.
The organizers of the action to violate the bans have announced that the initiative will be repeated in the coming days to keep the pressure on the government high to allow the catering sector - and the cultural one - to reopen and catch their breath.
