Russian attacks in southeastern Ukraine have escalated. Over the past 24 hours, Moscow's forces have heavily targeted the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions with drone strikes and large-scale bombing, causing injuries and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, homes, and public buildings.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian drones targeted the Synelnyky district, hitting the communities of Slovianska, Bohdanivska, and Vasylkivska.
This was announced by the acting head of the Oblast Police Department, Vladyslav Haivanenko, in a message posted on Telegram.
Two people were injured. The attacks caused fires in a garage, a summer kitchen, and a home extension. A high school, a gym, and a private home were also damaged.
The toll in the neighboring Zaporizhia region is even worse. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration (OVA), the Russian military has launched 737 attacks on 27 settlements in the past 24 hours.
The shelling caused two civilian injuries in the Zaporizhzhia and Polohiv districts and at least 54 reports of damage to homes, cars and civilian infrastructure.
Local authorities report continued pressure on residential areas, with attacks continuing to hit non-military targets, worsening an already critical humanitarian situation.
