Massacre of civilians in Gaza where dozens of people, mostly women and children, died in two separate Israeli raids on the Strip .
The first attack destroyed an entire residential block at dawn in northern Gaza, near Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahia , Al Jazeera and the Palestinian agency Wafa reported, calling it a “ horrific massacre ”.
There are currently around seventy confirmed victims, more than one hundred injured, but many people are missing , reports the Gaza Civil Protection.
According to Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, most of the victims were asleep at the time of the attack . “A very large number of victims have arrived and there are still many bodies to be recovered. They are mostly children and women. The situation is honestly very serious. We cannot cope with the huge number of wounded and victims that have arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital.”
“We are already operating under-resourced, most of our staff are now busy treating the injured on the spot due to the lack of ambulances,” he added.
At least 22 people were killed in a second Israeli attack on Gaza City, which hit a multi-story building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, reducing it to rubble .
