“Domestic” accident for the Holy Father. «This morning, due to a fall at the Santa Marta house, Pope Francis suffered a contusion to his right forearm, without fractures. The arm was immobilized as a precautionary measure». This was communicated by the Vatican Press Office.
The Pope's latest fall, fortunately not serious, comes just over a month after the one on December 6, also at Casa Santa Marta, which left him with a large bruise on the right side of his face.
When questioned by journalists, the director of the Vatican Press Office, Matteo Bruni, explained that "the hematoma is the result of a contusion", and that the Pontiff "hit his chin on the bedside table".
Francis, however, maintained his agenda this morning,
carrying out the various scheduled hearings.
