Cyber attack in London: Italians transiting through British airports warned: "Beware of data theft."

For Italians who transited through British airports targeted by a cyber attack in recent days, the possibility cannot be ruled out that data relating to fellow Italians "may have been acquired by the perpetrators of the attack . Those affected are advised to remain vigilant regarding suspicious emails, text messages, and phone calls, and to never open attachments or access links contained in dubious communications."

The airports in question are London Stansted, Manchester and East Midlands .

The recommendation comes from the National Cybersecurity Agency, which is monitoring the situation and its potential impact on the national context, including phenomena related to broader disinformation campaigns.

"No indicators of an increase in this specific type of threat have been detected so far," the agency explains. It adds: "Based on the information acquired so far, there is currently no evidence of ongoing incidents at Italian airports."
