Crans-Montana, the Swiss president: "The injured will not have to pay for medical care."

Those injured in the Crans-Montana fire and their families, "regardless of their place of residence, will not have to pay anything for medical care provided in Swiss hospitals immediately after the disaster. These costs will be covered by victim assistance, to the extent that they are not covered by insurance. To avoid any misunderstanding, Switzerland will no longer send copies of invoices to the victims' families."

Swiss President Guy Parmelin wrote this on social media after a meeting with Giorgia Meloni in Yerevan, Armenia, on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit.

During the meeting, Parmelin pledged to ensure that the families of the Italian children involved in the massacre would not be charged for any hospital care provided in Switzerland.

The official announcement came on social media shortly after.
