With 24 hours to go until the presidential runoff in Brazil, right-wing candidate Flavio Bolsonaro has 50.7% of the valid votes, against 49.3% for outgoing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva .

This is what emerges from the survey commissioned by the National Confederation of Transport (CNT) from the MDA institute, which confirms that the challenge is still open.

The conservative senator's lead is 1.4 percentage points, up from the point recorded in the October 16 survey.

The gap remains, however, less than the 2.2-point margin of error. In total votes, which also include blank, invalid, and undecided ballots, Bolsonaro received 46.3%, down 0.5 points from the previous poll, while Lula's share fell to 45%, down 0.9 points.

Blank and invalid ballots rose from 4.9% to 5.8%, while undecided votes rose from 2.4% to 2.9%. In the spontaneous vote, without a candidate list proposed to respondents, Bolsonaro received 45.4%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points, and Lula received 43.5%, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points. Blank and invalid ballots increased from 5.2% to 5.8%, while undecided votes rose from 5% to 5.3%.
