Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was rushed to a Brasilia hospital this afternoon, escorted by criminal police, after complaining of hiccups, vomiting, and low blood pressure.

The incident comes just two days after another hospitalization, during which Bolsonaro spent five hours at Df Star Hospital for the removal of skin lesions. Doctors diagnosed him with iron deficiency anemia.

His son Flávio Bolsonaro, his wife Michelle, who was present at the former head of state's side, and a medical team escorted by a convoy of the Criminal Police and a helicopter confirmed his hospitalization.

Dr. Cláudio Birolini, who is responsible for part of Bolsonaro's medical monitoring, explained that his hospitalization was necessary for "a clinical evaluation, therapeutic measures, and additional tests."

Last week, Brazil's Supreme Court Minister, Alexandre de Moraes, requested a detailed report on the former president's escort and transportation, noting that he had not been immediately returned home under house arrest rules.

According to doctors, Bolsonaro displays a fragile general condition and insufficient nutrition.

Since August 4th, the former president has been under house arrest for an investigation into the alleged coup plot.

Last week, the Green-Gold Supreme Court sentenced him to 27 years and three months in prison for attempted

violent abolition of the democratic order and other crimes.
