«The Italian Government is strongly committed to the construction of a new research infrastructure for the observation of gravitational waves, the Einstein Telescope, at Sos Enattos, in Sardinia, which thanks to the very low seismic and anthropic noise is one of the "quietest" places "of Europe".

This was stated by the Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini during the G7 Ministerial, in the session dedicated to International Cooperation in Science and Technology which was held in Sendai, Japan, where she argued that " Italy wants strengthen collaboration within the G7 with the aim of making the large national research infrastructures of the Member States more international and interconnected.'

The Lula mines therefore rise to global prominence: «If ET were built in Italy», added the representative of the Meloni Government in Japan, «it would be able to operate as an international hub for the development of research on gravitational waves involving scientists and experts from all over the world and promoting the launch of joint programs with other national and international research infrastructures,” he concluded.
