The story of the beluga that had been stuck in the Seine between two locks for days ended tragically. During the night the rescue operation was attempted but the cetacean died while being transported to Ouistreham, in Calvados, where it was to be treated.

This was announced by the Prefecture of the department.

The animal was sick and could not feed.
