The beneficial power of chips that at some point had become nowhere to be found. It is the Odyssey lived by a family from Narborough, Leicestershire (England), in which little Ava - four years old - suffers from a serious eating disorder.

It is called Arfid, it is an avoidant or restrictive disorder of food intake, which blocks the development of the little girl. To grow, Ava only needs to feed on a few well-selected foods.

Among these, explains the BBC which tells the story of the little girl, the Walkers baked sea salt chips, which have a very limited production.

Mom Michelle launched an appeal on social media asking for those chips. In addition to receiving an apology from Walkers (“We are working to increase production and solve supply problems”), the family was literally showered with potato chips.

A lot of gestures of solidarity and a big load all for little Ava: “I think we received about 450 packages”, says smiling to BBC Michelle.

“Ava - he continues - can only eat these chips, toasted waffles and a specific type of fruit puree for children. He only drinks sweetened almond milk and a prescription mix of vitamins ”.

Walkers eats two packs of chips a day, "when she went without it for five days she was not very well, and our big fear was that we had to go to the hospital, which is very likely the doctors told us if she doesn't eat these chips." .

Hence the appeal and the splendid response of solidarity.
