and travelers from China , after the surge in Covid cases in the country. This was announced by Sweden : «The country is seeking a common policy for the entire EU on the introduction of possible entry restrictions. It is important to quickly implement the necessary measures," the Stockholm government said in a statement.
After Beijing's abrupt termination of the much-discussed "zero Covid" policy and the resulting explosion in infections , some EU member states, including Italy , have decided to impose tests on travelers from China . The same measures have been taken by various Asian countries , by the United States , by Great Britain and by Israel .
Germany , although it has not imposed the testing obligation, is thinking of a coordinated system to monitor the variants of Covid in European airports.
