A 5-year-old boy managed to survive a terrible python attack.

The baby was bitten, crushed and dragged into a pool by the reptile the size of a small car . Beau, his father said, was playing near a swimming pool in Byron Bay (Australia) when a three-metre long python that emerged from the surrounding vegetation grabbed him, jumped into the water with him and grabbed his leg.

The boy's grandfather, 76, dived into the pool and pulled Beau out with the snake still coiled. The father finally managed to free his son from the coils of the reptile. He sustained some injuries but not serious ones.

The snake, on the other hand, disappeared into the vegetation.
