The young man who was killed by Israeli forces during a raid in Jenin - in the occupied West Bank - was only 17 years old, according to a note from the Palestinian Ministry of Health. An 18-year- old , on the other hand, was seriously injured by bullets.

The Jenin refugee camp has recently been at the center of various tensions after a wave of attacks in Israel that left 19 people dead. Thirteen Palestinians were wounded last week in an Israeli forces operation in the camp, which also killed an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett identified the Israeli soldier as Noam Raz. The Palestinian was later identified as Daoud al-Zubaidi, brother of Zakaria al-Zubaidi, who led the armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement and briefly escaped from Israeli prison last year.
