Organized by the Cooperativa Teatro e/o Musica, the World Music Festival, a festival dedicated to popular music, returns to Sassari. From July 28th to August 6th, three concerts will take place in Piazza Monica Moretti, all starting at 9:30 pm.

The first event on the bill is on Tuesday 28 July with ¡Gracia!, the show by the guitarist and composer Luca Falomi from Genoa. Together with Anaïs Drago on violin and Fausto Beccalossi on accordion, Falomi creates an original, rooted, and contemporary sound in which every note is part of a free and visionary story.

On Saturday, August 1st, the multi-ethnic group Yampapaya , founded by American singer-songwriter David James Hoffman, will take the stage. The band draws inspiration from Congolese music, blending rhythms and melodies from around the world. Hoffman, on vocals and guitar, will be joined by Peace Diouf on guitar, Frank Ranieri on bass, Alex Taborri and Francesca Ciocca on percussion.

Closing the World Music Festival on August 6th will be Anna Maria Castelli 's "Cosa sono le nuvole – Omaggio a Domenico Modugno ." The Milanese singer-actress, originally from Naples, returns to Sassari, accompanied by Adriàn Fioramonti on guitar, Thomas Sinigaglia on accordion, and Stefano Rapicavoli on drums for a concert that reprises her "Singing Modugno ," revisited today live in a refined and essential version influenced by jazz, French chanson, and Argentine tango.
