Croatia and Argentina fly to the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar .
In the first match Modric and his companions surprisingly eliminated the favorite Brazil : after the 1-1 draw after extra time (goals from Neymar and Petkovic), the penalties missed by Rodrygo and Marquinhos were decisive, for the final 5-3 which counts for qualification of the reigning vice-champions.
Also in the evening match penalties are needed to decide the passage of the round: Argentina wins, after a daring 2-2.
The Albiceleste took the lead through Molina and doubled through Messi on a penalty kick. However, the Oranjes didn't give up and first shortened with Weghorst and then, at the last second, they found the draw again with Weghorst, who finalized a free-kick scheme called from the bench by Van Gaal, leaving the Argentines stunned.
In extra time the result does not change and also in this case it goes to penalties.
Van Dijk, Berghuis and Fernandez are wrong, but in the end Lautaro Martinez converts the last penalty and Argentina can celebrate the passage of the round.
