Sprinter Diego Nappi, the athlete from Porto Torres and former European 200-meter champion, has been called up to the Italian Under-20 national team for the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, scheduled for August 5-9.

Another important milestone in his career that rewards the talent, determination, and hard work of the young athlete from Atletica Leggera Porto Torres and GS Fiamme Oro Padova, included among the 64 Italian athletes called up for the world championship.

Nappi achieved this prestigious result after 329 days of inactivity due to a health problem , a long break away from the slopes but not from the ambitious goals that led him to regain the blue jersey, thanks to an exceptional recovery and intense work carried out together with the coach Marco Trapasso.

The athlete from Turrita will represent Italy in the 200 meters, the 4x100 relay, and the medley relay, also carrying the colors of his city and Italy.
