Workshops, talks, and innovation: the European Researchers' Night returns to Cagliari.

Over 300 researchers will be attending dozens of events, including talks, workshops, and initiatives for children. Everything is ready for Sharper, the European Researchers' Night, scheduled for Friday, September 25th, at La Vetreria in Pirri. From 4:30 PM until late, the academic world and the city will meet, with several schools and several neighborhood centers participating. "The focus is on demonstrating that we are in partnership with the community," explained Fabrizio Pilo, Vice Rector for Territory and Innovation at the University of Cagliari. "What we do in research must be of interest to everyone, and we want to show how wonderful it is to do it. This is the message we want to convey to everyone, especially to the boys and girls who may one day share this passion."

Through sports, social activities, cybersecurity, and many other topics, the University is taking research beyond academic spaces to engage directly with the public. "If we don't make people understand what we're doing, we become self-referential," Pilo added. "However, when we engage in dialogue, some good ideas can emerge."
