The Women's Serie C derby puts Women Torres two games clear of the play-off spot. The Sassari team won 5-1 at Tharros , though it's worth noting that the score was overturned in the final ten minutes when the home team was down three players.

The match started well for Riu 's Rossoblù, who took the numerical advantage in the 18th minute (Montano was sent off for a foul on Loupattij) and converted a penalty from Castronuovo to make it 1-0. Tharros showed pride and equalized through Koskinen on the half-hour mark. But after just four minutes, Torres Women took the lead again when Deiana converted Castronuovo 's corner.

The match seemed deadlocked, but in the 75th minute, the home team received another red card when Carrillo brought down Picchirallo, who was running alone towards the penalty area. Two minutes later, Tharros received another red card, with the referee sending off Lonoce for protesting.

In the final eleven against eight, the Women Torres ran riot with Picchirallo (83') and Cocco 's brace scored in the 85' and 91'.

After the match, Marika Picchirallo offered a special dedication: " It was a great feeling, we gave it our all. I'm very happy with the goal; it was time to rediscover this joy after several injuries. But I'm especially happy to have contributed a goal to the team's victory. Mister Riu? I dedicate the goal to my grandfather, who recently passed away; I hope he saw it."
