The Council of Ministers has released the construction of six wind farms and the plan concerns Sardinia, Basilicata and Puglia.

In the intentions of the Draghi government, the new plants will ensure a power of 418 MW.

In detail - explains the note from the executive released after the CDM - these are the following projects:

- wind power plant in the municipality of Castelluccio dei Sauri, (Foggia), for 43.2 MW

- "Salice-La Paduletta" wind power plant, in the municipalities of Cerignola and Orta Nuova (Foggia), for 58.5 MW;

- wind power plant in the municipality of Sant'Agata di Puglia, (Foggia), for 39.6 MW

- "Montaratro" wind plant, in the municipality of Troia, (Foggia), for 121.9 MW

- 121.5 MW of the "Nulvi Ploaghe" wind farm in Sassari

- EIA extension of the "Corona Prima" wind farm in the municipality of Tricarico (Matera) for 33 MW.

The six wind farms covered by today's session - the Government specifies -, are added to the two released by the Council of Ministers last February 18, for a power of 65.5 MW from renewable sources.

In particular, these are the following projects:

- VIA extension of the wind farm in the municipality of Melfi (PZ), loc. Monte Cervaro - 34 MW;

- "Serra Giannina" wind power plant, in the municipalities of Genzano di Lucania and Banzi (PZ) - 31.5 MW.

The CDM in its press release stresses that starting from the end of 2021, energy plants for a total power of 1,407.3 MW (1,407 GigaWatt) from renewable sources have been unlocked.
