Fratelli d'Italia has also presented its bill to deal with the onslaught of energy speculators on the island . A single article which identifies, through an urban planning regulation, the areas in which it is not possible to proceed with the installation of new electricity production plants from Fer. All this, to protect agricultural surfaces from future requests but also from ongoing procedures.

A "countryside saver" or "agriculture saver" as the FdI councilors who illustrated the text renamed it today. «We want to make a contribution against the onslaught of wind power on the island», explained the group leader Paolo Truzzu, «we start from a simple principle recently reiterated by some sentences of the Constitutional Court, according to which Sardinia has primary competence in urban planning matters. And we say that on all land classified as agricultural land-based wind or photovoltaic systems cannot be built."

Furthermore, «we have provided that for all procedures involving large plants and which require an evaluation by the Ministry of the Environment, a mandatory opinion from the Sardinia Region is required ». The proposal will also be presented tomorrow in the form of an amendment to the council's bill which aims to prohibit the installation of new systems for the next 18 months . According to Truzzu, «this ban can also generate a greater rush of speculation because it does not prevent the possibility of submitting applications. Thanks to our proposal, it becomes useless to submit applications."
