Flavio Cobolli defeated Karen Khachanov 0-6, 7-6, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the round of 16 at Wimbledon. The Italian, who lost the first set in 18 minutes, had taken a medical timeout in the locker room.
Lorenzo Sonego , however, had no luck, defeated by Taylor Fritz in four sets. The Italian, number 69 in the world, won the first set against the American, the tournament's number 6 seed, who ultimately prevailed with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6.
In the women's tournament, Jasmine Paolini had an easy time in the third round. The Italian defeated Greece's Maria Sakkari in straight sets 6-1, 6-2, thus advancing to the round of 16 of the English tournament.
