The match between Bologna and Milan, scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for the ninth day of Serie A, will not be played due to bad weather. The mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore, after consulting the police chief and the prefect, signed an ordinance ordering the match to be suspended given that an orange weather alert is expected.

The decision was made due to rain forecasts and the restoration work in the neighborhood that hosts the stadium and which was the most affected by the flooding on Saturday night . The match, the order states, would bring 35,000 people to the stadium, creating public order problems.

On Saturday there will therefore be only two early matches: Napoli-Lecce at 15:00, Atalanta-Verona at 20:45. The round will open tomorrow with Udinese-Cagliari (18:30) and Torino-Como (20:45) . For Bologna-Milan – with the Bolognese club having decided to donate half of the proceeds to the Metropolitan City fundraiser for families affected by the flood – the postponement is to a date to be determined.
