Reserved slots, bookings to be confirmed via SMS, updated portals and centralized management of agendas. The Region is ready to intervene on waiting lists with a package of new operational measures, which will be approved by the Council, to reduce delays in accessing public health services.

The measure introduces new guidelines for the Cup system: healthcare companies will have to activate the so-called "active lists", through which patients waiting will be contacted again to fill the slots that become available. In addition, new management methods are introduced: flexible time slots, controlled overbooking and transparent centralization of agendas, with an update of the Cup Web portal to improve its accessibility.

Important news also for citizens: it will be mandatory to confirm the appointment at least two days in advance, also via SMS or digital channels. Otherwise, the reservation will be canceled and reassigned to other users on the waiting list.

"An intervention that is part of our vision of public health and social justice", declared the president Alessandra Todde. However, the ability of the individual ASL to rapidly adapt to the new directives, also on a technical-IT level, remains central.

In addition to the measures for the Cup system, the Council will also approve the Regional Alzheimer and Dementia Plan 2024–2026, the first in Sardinia structurally dedicated to neurocognitive pathologies. Funded with 1.2 million euros, the plan includes a network of interventions ranging from prevention to early diagnosis, up to patient care and support for families.

On the welfare front, the Region confirms its commitment to the Social Inclusion Income (Reis). In 2025, 30 million euros will be allocated, entirely destined to citizens in the form of economic subsidy. To these will be added up to 4.5 million for the design of inclusion paths and 450 thousand euros for the coordination between Plus areas and Municipalities in the management of the Reis.

"Unlike the Solinas administration, which allocated 30 million for the first year, then reduced to 16 million for the following two, we guarantee 30 million every year for the entire three-year period 2025–2027," explains Todde. "In this way, the increase becomes structural and not a one-off. We want to offer continuity, certain resources and more dignity to those in difficulty: we have chosen to govern to truly change: to take care of what has been neglected for too long."
