Founded in Olbia in 2022, WAC Arena Sim Racing is now a leading platform in Sardinia for motorsport, technology, and racing enthusiasts. The project was born with a specific goal: to make Sim Racing accessible, educational, and engaging, transforming it into a tool for sporting and cultural growth.
Inside the WAC Arena, spectators can enjoy an immersive experience thanks to state-of-the-art simulators, designed to realistically reproduce the main motorsport disciplines, from GT to Formula, Rally and RallyCross. Each station is designed to ensure safety, realism, and adaptability, allowing users of all levels to experience sports driving in a controlled and professional environment.
A community open to all ages
The WAC Arena's mission goes beyond simple entertainment. The center fosters the growth of a community of car and motorsport enthusiasts, open to everyone 4 feet tall and above, with no age limit.
Through the simulator, children, teens, and adults can learn about sports driving responsibly, using Sim Racing as a tool for road safety education, safe driving, and awareness of one's limits. In this context, the simulator becomes a tool for learning to respect the rules, manage emotions, and properly perceive risk—fundamental values both on the track and in everyday driving.
WAC AP Racing Team: From Virtual to Real Competition
The WAC AP Racing Team, a sports association that represents the competitive heart of the project, operates alongside the simulation center. Since 2022, the team has been running the "From Simulator to Reality" program, a structured program designed to identify, train, and mentor Sim Racing talent toward real-world competitions.
The project combines virtual training, physical preparation, coaching, and initial racing experience. This work reached its first milestone in 2024, with the team's official rally debut in Sardinia, and was further consolidated in 2025 with participation in two official rallies, confirming the effectiveness of the method and the team's long-term vision.
Commitment to esports and official competitions
Since 2024, WAC Arena and WAC AP Racing Team have also been involved in organizing and managing official ACI Esport championships, contributing to the development of motorsports nationwide. This activity strengthens the WAC Arena's role as a sporting and competitive hub, capable of creating a concrete and professional link between the virtual world and real-world competitions.
A look to the future
As the year comes to a close, WAC Arena draws a positive balance of a journey built on passion, innovation, and training. An organization that, starting in Olbia, has successfully created a strong community and a concrete sports project, capable of responsibly combining technology and motorsport.
The activity will continue into the new year with the aim of strengthening the offering, promoting new events, and continuing to invest in the development of young people and the development of Sim Racing as an educational and sporting tool.
