The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had a telephone conversation yesterday evening. This was reported by a spokeswoman for the EU executive.

The conversation focused on "all issues of current common interest" , including support for Ukraine and the tariffs dossier in the framework of the negotiations between the EU and the Trump administration.
