Piazza Eleonora in Oristano was packed with hundreds of cheering eyes and hands: Alessia Orro was by far the most applauded (and it couldn't have been otherwise) in Oristano, where the Sardegna Volleyball Challenge, an international women's tournament, is being played on Thursday and Friday.

Four teams have been invited, including Fenerbahçe (the new team of the Italian setter), the other Turkish superpower VakifBank Istanbul, the Greek team Panionios and Busto Arsizio, Orro's first professional team.

The Sa Rodia sports hall, which will host the four matches (at 5.30pm and 8.30pm for the two days), is already sold out.
