The free orthoptic and speech therapy screening initiative organized on Sunday, December 15 by the Speech Therapists and Orthoptists of the Order of TSRM and PSTRP of Cagliari and Oristano concluded with great success . Aimed at preschool and school-age children, the initiative represented a valuable opportunity to delve into specific aspects of vision and language, identifying any difficulties and offering parents a detailed report with observations and practical advice.

A distinctive element of the event was its inclusive approach, which transformed the health intervention into an engaging experience. The activities, specifically designed to be understandable and enjoyable, allowed the young participants to feel like protagonists, reducing the anxiety often associated with health screenings. Each child, at the end of the course, received a diploma of courage in recognition of their participation, along with gadgets such as pencils and balloons , to underline the importance of the day and motivate them through play towards such an important topic as health.

"We wanted to propose an initiative that was both useful and welcoming, to make children feel at ease", said Veronica Marroccu , President of the Speech Therapist Register Commission. "Each early speech therapy intervention has a significant impact on the child's learning and well-being, and we are proud to have been able to offer such a valuable service to families in our area".

"Visual prevention - added Elena Corda , President of the Orthoptists' Register Commission - is essential to guarantee children a harmonious development. Our goal was to make this moment a positive occasion, in which the little ones felt involved and at ease. The children's smiles and the parents' gratitude were the confirmation of the value of what we have done".

"Events like this - concluded Antonio Attanasio , President of the Order of TSRM and PSTRP of Cagliari and Oristano - represent the heart of our institutional role: promoting health, supporting prevention and strengthening the bond with the community. The professionalism, passion and attention shown by our Register Commissions contribute to building an image of the Order that is not only recognized, but appreciated. I am proud to be able to work with such motivated professionals and to see initiatives that put the needs of the population, and in this case, of the little ones, at the center".
