From the Bottecchia bikes of the Giro d'Italia and Sardinia to the legendary “Graziella” that was popular among young people in the 70s.

In total 25 examples that tell the story of two-wheeled mobility thanks to the initiative of the local police of Sassari and the former marshal Roberto Demuro, retired for a few months.

This morning the exhibition “Vintage Bikes in the Center” was inaugurated in the courtyard of the former Cinema 4 Colonne, and will be open until Sunday.

Present were the mayor Giuseppe Mascia and of course the commander of the local police Gianni Serra.

Among the most interesting pieces, the bicycle that was used by the customs clerk in the late 1930s. Also on display are a tandem made by a craftsman, a prototype of a motorized bicycle from the 1970s, a bicycle with a long front fork and bicycles with rod brakes from the 1950s.
