Following the success of the first edition, Villasimius is renewing its commitment to books and ideas, confirming its position as a key hub for southern Sardinia's summer culture. From August 21st to 25th, Piazza Gramsci will host the second edition of " Ideario Storie – Il libro racconta ," a festival promoted by the Municipality of Villasimius, ASI Sardegna (a social and sports promotion organization), and the Ideario cultural project, with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and artistic direction by journalist Fabio Meloni.

Three events, three books, and three national figures will lead the audience on a journey through the contradictions of modernity and the values of tradition, the narrative and rediscovery of women in the history of music, and national and international security. The program will open on Friday, August 21st with journalist Gianluigi Paragone's "Processo alla modernità" (The Trial of Modernity), a talk dedicated to his book "Moderno sarà lei" (Signs Publishing). In conversation with journalist Mario Frongia, the author will offer a reflection on the contradictions of modernity, addressing themes such as identity, tradition, and the transformations of contemporary society.

The second event, on Sunday, August 23, will feature conductor Beatrice Venezi , author of the book "Mozart's Sisters: Stories of Forgotten Performers, Brilliant Composers, and Rebel Musicians" (Utet). Together with journalist Valentina Orgiu, she will be the featured speaker at the panel "The Invisibles of Music: Female Talent and Denied Memory," dedicated to the great female figures who the history of music has too often left in the shadows, despite their extraordinary artistic contributions.

Closing the series on Tuesday, August 25th, will be Marco Mancini , former head of Italian counterintelligence and author of "The Rules of the Game: From Terrorism to Russian Spies" (Rizzoli). Interviewed by journalist and Rai Sardegna editor-in-chief Ignazio Artizzu, he will offer a unique look at the world of Italian intelligence, recounting episodes, strategies, and behind-the-scenes details of some of the most sensitive events that have affected the country in recent decades.
