The seal is that of Auditel: in the first four months of 2026 Videolina ranks first among national local TV stations . Auditel is the company that since 1986 has been measuring Italian television audiences every day, 24 hours a day, minute by minute. The data taken into consideration is the average audience (see infographic on the right), which indicates "the average number of viewers of a program. It is equal to the ratio between the sum of viewers present in each minute of a given time interval and the duration in minutes of the interval itself", as can be read on the company's website. Videolina leads with 8,383 viewers/day , followed by Telelombardia (7,803) and Telenorba (7,704). In Sardinia, behind Videolina there is Tcs (308), followed by Telesardegna (146), L'Unione Tv (86) and Sardegna 1 (64).
A family relationship
Videolina has always been the country's leader in penetration, or "the percentage ratio between listeners in a certain category and their statistical reference universe." "This is an important figure that confirms the very close relationship between Videolina and the Sardinians," emphasizes Emanuele Dessì, director of the L'Unione Sarda group's news programs . "Every day we have fourteen editions of the newscast, covering the entire region. This is a great team effort that continues to reward us in the Sardinians' choices." Alongside news, enriched by in-depth segments every day at 3 p.m., Videolina (which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year) is increasingly focusing on live events (about sixty per year). The best-known and most popular is the feast of Sant'Efisio, but the Sardinian television network offers almost daily live coverage of the many wonderful initiatives promoted in each region for faith, culture, and tourism. The program features both traditional and new programs, covering current affairs (politics, economics), sports, entertainment, nature and food, and popular traditions. This mix is appreciated by viewers every day, as demonstrated by the results, which, in the first four months of the year, show Videolina's leadership.
Public service
An increasingly public service role offered through digital terrestrial channels 10 (recorded by Auditel) and 819 on Sky Tivùsat, in addition to the highly followed streaming service on videolina.it, with interaction between the group's media outlets (L'Unione Sarda, unionesarda.it, Unione TV, Radiolina, and Sardegna 1). A unique presence on the national scene, rewarded by the trust and support of the Sardinians.
