The curtain falls on the fourth edition of the Vittorio Inzaina Award , three evenings dedicated to music and young regional talents.
Thirty-six participants, divided into age groups , were accompanied on their journey by artistic director Claudia Aru. The stage set up in front of the Church of Santa Vittoria welcomed them into the particularly evocative atmosphere of an event that successfully combined competition, education, and the appreciation of music.
The first evening, hosted by Alain Patittoni and Denise Gueye, dedicated to the very young, saw the triumph of Sofia Arras, 13, from Alghero, who took first place performing “Voilà” by Barbara Pravi in the version by Emma Kok. Second place went to Benedetta Derosas, and third place went to Chiara Maccioni.
The second round was dedicated to contestants between the ages of 15 and 30. Licia Sulas and Benedetta Piseddu tied for first place, with songs by Lana del Rey and Jazmine Sullivan, respectively. Simone Altamira and Michele Cuccu placed second and third. The second day was particularly eventful, with the Best Song in the Sardinian Language Award going to Giuseppina Testone and the Best Original Song Award going to Carlo Pistis.
A particularly touching tribute was given by Giada Inzaina, Vittorio's daughter, who covered some of her father's hits accompanied by musicians Ottavio Cocco, Agostino Muzzetto, Pietro Tamponi, and Andrea Valeri. Daniele Gala won the adult category with his song "Carrera," followed by Federica Mallus and Linda Trinchillo. Awards also went to Pier Luigi Perniciano for best unreleased song (a song dedicated to Gigi Riva) and to Fiorella Berria for her unreleased song in Sardinian, "Che a tie." The performance by Moses Concas , the evening's special guest, was particularly well received.
The event was closed by one of the most anticipated guests, Gianfranco Zola, who arrived in Telti to receive the Isola In…cantata Award. Greeted by a large crowd of fans, the footballer then spoke on stage, sharing life anecdotes and his ongoing commitment to the younger generations, emphasizing the value of sport as a tool for growth.
The Inzaina Prize isn't just a competition: the event also featured important training opportunities, with masterclasses by Grazia Di Michele and Claudia Aru. Telti also aims to grow through art, and during the evening, Mayor Vittorio Pinducciu highlighted the future Parco della Musica, a facility designed to host cultural, musical, and sporting activities, a web radio, an amphitheater, and a wellness area. The mayor announced that the facility will bear the Vittorio Inzaina name, further strengthening the bond between the town and the artist to whom the Prize is dedicated.
