Verstappen wins in Qatar and reopens the F1 World Championship with one Grand Prix to go

Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri's McLaren finished second, ahead of Carlos Sainz's Williams. The other McLaren, led by championship leader Lando Norris, finished fourth, while Kimi Antonelli's Mercedes finished fifth.
A result that sensationally reopens the World Championship with one Grand Prix to go, in Abu Dhabi next week. Max Verstappen closes the gap to the championship leader.
Lando Norris is just 12 points behind. Oscar Piastri climbs to third in the drivers' standings, overtaken by Verstappen, and is now 16 points behind teammate Norris.
Ferrari: Charles Leclerc finished eighth, while Lewis Hamilton was only twelfth. In the top 10, George Russell's Mercedes finished sixth, ahead of Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin. Liam Lawson Racing's Rading Bulls finished ninth, ahead of Yuki Tsunoda's Red Bull.
