Vermentino di Gallura becomes an "ambassador": recognition from the Municipality of Castelnuovo Magra
Sardinian excellence awarded at the first edition of the "Benvenire Vermentino" event
Vermentino di Gallura becomes ambassador. During the past weekend, the chamber delegation led by the President of Promocamera Francesco Carboni , accompanied by the President of the Consortium for the Protection of Vermentino di Gallura Docg Daniele Pinna , participated in the " Welcome Vermentino " event, organized by the Municipality of Castelnuovo Magra, in the Province of La Spezia.
An occasion in which the Ligurian administration deemed it necessary to assign the prestigious recognition of " Ambassador of Vermentino 2023 " to the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari and Promocamera and to the Consorzio di Tutela del Vermentino di Gallura, as protagonists and supporters of the event from the first edition, qualified organizers of the homonymous event in Olbia and creators of the Vermentino national wine-literary award.
Olbia's "Welcome Vermentino" is, in fact, a valuable territorial marketing and urban regeneration tool that has the ability to stimulate a virtuous path of economic, social and cultural development of the territory, starting from the enhancement and promotion of one of its products of excellence internationally recognized: Vermentino, in its dual denomination "di Gallura Docg" and "di Sardegna", represents an excellence among local productions and a solid factor of economic growth and tourist development of the Northern Sardinia area as a whole, and Gallura in particular.
Very proud Carboni and la Pinna who, upon receiving the award from the mayor of Castelnuovo, underlined their desire to continue in the process of enhancing Vermentino, involving all the economic operators of the area in an increasingly intense way to trigger virtuous processes of economic growth, digitization and internationalisation, of the entrepreneurial system as a whole.
The next appointment is, therefore, set in Olbia, from 2 to 8 October, for the ninth edition of "Benvenire Vermentino", which also for this year has various new features, initiatives and cultural events in store, among which the seventh edition of the Vermentino wine-literary award.
