Vannacci records "National Future": nearing a rift with the League

A circle on a blue background, with the words 'Futuro nazionale' written in white, and the yellow word "Vannacci" underneath, all in capital letters, in a fascist-style font, with a tricolor wing (or a stylized flame) in the center: this is the symbol registered by Roberto Vannacci, with that name having been the subject of rumors for a few days about the new party that the deputy secretary of the League might create in the future.
"It's just a symbol, like that of 'The World Upside Down' and 'Generation Tenth,'" says the MEP, who in just over two years, after the controversial book, became first a Lega Nord MEP and then Matteo Salvini's deputy.
According to the European Union Intellectual Property Network website, the trademark registration application was submitted to the European Patent Office on January 24, last Saturday, while the League was meeting in Abruzzo. From there, Salvini issued a series of warnings, explaining that "outside the League, there's a desert," and that, as "history teaches," anyone who leaves the party "ends up in nothingness." These words were interpreted, by League members and others, also in light of the movements in Parliament, where at least two MPs, Edoardo Ziello and Rossano Sasso (who diverged from the group's position on the resolution on Ukraine), are now considered "Vannacciani."
