First blue podium at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The medal goes to Elena Vallortigara in the high jump, a bronze .
The thirty-year-old from Schio (Vicenza), returned to the levels of four years ago, jumped 2 meters on her first attempt in an almost error-free race. Gold medal for the Australian Eleanor Patterson (2.02 at the first attempt), silver for the Ukrainian Jaroslava Mahuchikh, (2.02 at the second attempt).
