«I have many beautiful memories in the estate of my maternal grandparents, it was a playground, with rabbits and chickens and lots of little cousins to play with».

This is how Valeria Marini recalls her childhood spent in Sardinia . Amarcord revelations for the actress and soubrette, entrusted to an interview with Corriere della Sera.

And Valeria also underlines in what, as well as in the accent that still occasionally "slips" on Sardinian, she is a "true and pure" islander: «In the values that my mother taught me: loyalty, sincerity, generosity. And stubbornness: wanting is power».

But related to Sardinia are also memories that concern the heart. Like those of her flirtation with Lorenzo Cherubini, alias Jovanotti: «I met him in a club in Porto Rotondo, I was an image girl, he was a DJ, we were very young. Wonderful, sunny, playful. He taught me to look at the stars in the sky on the night of San Lorenzo. It lasted a year», explains Valeria. Who, too, takes the edge off: «Did Lorenzo kiss well? Never said, but it's true."
