Valentina Calì, the strong left-handed player, in force last season at Alfieri Cagliari, entered the national beach volleyball team, with the prospect of participating in the next Olympic games
The Sardinian athlete paired with Eleonora Annibalini, after a challenging Italian Championship on the sand, where she took home two golds, one silver and one bronze, the latter in the Italian Cup, won first place in the European Zonal CEV tournament of Marseille.
These excellent results have earned her a convocation among the Italian athletes who will be able to compete for Olympic gold in 2024 in Paris.
Due to these national commitments, Alfieri will have to do without his dunks at least for this Serie B2 start.
Valentina was decisive, only a few months ago, for the conquest of the playoffs by the historic Cagliari team.
