Eight months of sport for more than a hundred inmates at the "Ettore Scalas" prison in Uta , between football, fitness and the gym, until today's final event. It is the “Lo sport ti AiUta” project, promoted by the Carlo Enrico Giulini foundation and by Cagliari Calcio – Be as one": «In these months of activity together», explained the president of the rossoblù club Tommaso Giulini , «we wanted to give who is forced into here the great enthusiasm that he has transmitted to us at all times. We hope we have brought a little union and love for sport and for life : surely something strong will always remain inside each of us, which we want to be a starting point to continue building».

Since last November, trained instructors have organized activities for the prisoners, thus also offering the opportunity to build relationships thanks to sport: "This project", declared the director of the prison Marco Porcu , "gave us enormous satisfaction, by virtue the enthusiasm of the inmates and the passion with which Cagliari Calcio and the Carlo Enrico Giulini Foundation have dedicated themselves to work in our structure». Commander Andrea Lubello is also on the same wavelength: «The initiative is very important», he explains, «as it fits into our institutional mandate, i.e. that of promoting opportunities for meeting and socializing among the prisoners, in such a way that the same can make use of processes of responsibility and assumption of awareness aimed at reintegration into society".

And it is precisely the aspect of sociality that assumes importance within the project: «The experience carried out in the prison of Uta», says the president of the Giulini Ilaria Nardi foundation, «has great value not only for the development and consolidation of sports activities in prisons (which the Foundation has been proposing for some time in prisons), but also and above all to facilitate social relations between the people involved, both internally and externally".

And for the closing morning, there was also the welcome surprise of the presence of former Cagliari players Roberto Muzzi and Francesco Pisano , now the Primavera's technical coordinator and assistant coach, as well as that of president Giulini himself.
