Nole Djokovic's dream of winning his twenty-fifth career Grand Slam title continues. The Serbian champion defeated American Taylor Fritz in four sets in the US Open quarterfinals. The final score, after three hours and 20 minutes of play, was 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

The match was hotly contested. Djokovic—who argued extensively with the crowd in the third set—was relentless in the key moments of the match, while Fritz squandered several opportunities, especially in the first two sets. The Serbian will now face Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals, scheduled for next Friday .

The climax of the quarterfinals, however, is expected tonight, with the all-Italian derby between Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti. The match is scheduled for no earlier than 2:10 AM Italian time . Sinner will be defending the title he won a year ago, but also his position as the ATP ranking leader, challenged by Alcaraz. Musetti, on the other hand, is seeking his third Grand Slam semifinal (his other two being Wimbledon last year and the latest Roland Garros) and has already won one derby, against Flavio Cobolli, who retired in the third set after losing the first two.
