US Open: Sinner defeats Popyrin and advances to the third round

Jannik Sinner has qualified for the third round of the US Open , the final slam of the season.

The South Tyrolean beat Australian Alexei Popyrin in three sets with a score of 6-3 6-2 6-2 in just over two hours of play.

In the third round, Sinner will face the winner of the match between Shapovalov and Royer.
