Jannik Sinner beats Daniil Medvedev and reaches the semifinals of the US Open tennis tournament for the first time in his career.
On the hard courts of Flushing Meadow in New York, the 23-year-old Italian world number 1 beat the 28-year-old Russian world number 5 with a score of 6-2 1-6 6-1 6-4.
Sinner will challenge tomorrow the 22-year-old British Jack Draper, 25th in the ATP rankings.
