Enrollments for the University of Cagliari's study courses for the next academic year are underway: the deadline is 30 September. The latest data on enrollments speaks of 4,000 new university students. Among the new features are the 90 extra places planned for Medicine and Surgery, an expansion that will have to deal with the chronic shortage of doctors, particularly felt also in Sardinia. Once the ministerial authorization has been obtained, the number of seats will reach 330.

«It is an increase of 30% - said the vicar protector Gianni Fenu - and it is an operation that costs. But we do it with conviction ».

More generally , 43 three-year degree courses, 6 single-cycle master's degree courses and 40 master's degree courses are available.

NEWS – Next year a three-year degree course in "Industrial Technologies for Energy and Digital Transition" will debut, in the humanities the master's degree in "Journalism and Web Information", while for the health area the study course in "Rehabilitation Sciences of Health Professions" and "Rehabilitation Sciences of Prevention Health Professions".

For the next academic year, the three-year degree in "Neurophysiopathology Techniques" will be reactivated with programmed access for 26 places. Other new features include the courses in Clinical, Health, Legal and Forensic Psychology (enabling master's degree), Philosophy and Forms of Knowledge (master's degree in philosophy) and Artificial Intelligence (new master's degree program in computer science). «We have created new degree courses - said Fenu - also because the university has the task of intercepting the needs of the territory. We are pleased to see the data on the increase in university post employment».

University increasingly open to collaborations with the rest of the world: new international agreements for the creation of study paths for the award of double degrees and with the enhancement of the educational offer in English. A lot of attention also to Erasmus+ both in the EU and outside the EU.

The Educ (European Digital UniverCity) alliance continues in partnership with the University of Potsdam (Germany), the University of Rennes 1 and the University of Paris-Nanterre (France), the Masaryk University (Czech Republic) and the University of Pécs (Hungary), for the creation of one of the first 17 European Erasmus Universities.
