Unfinished works in Sardinia are still decreasing, going from 66 in 2019 to 47 (figure 2021), with an improvement even compared to last year when the bar had stopped at 53 (year 2020).

As every year, the data relating to the registry of unfinished public works is published on the Region's website on the basis of the lists presented by the municipalities.

And Christian Solinas sings victory: "This testifies to the commitment of the Region in the construction of those infrastructures which, although considered strategic for the development of the territories and communities, are blocked or in any case not completed on schedule". A goal "that we want to continue to pursue decisively and effectively", claims the governor.

As for the construction of new works, the commissioner for public works Aldo Salaris highlights the importance of support measures for local authorities, starting with the 40 million euro planning fund: "Today more than ever we have the duty to ensure that the Public Administration successfully carries out the pre-established interventions, accompanying the development of the territories and providing the communities to which they belong with more services ", says Salaris, recalling that the unfinished ones are above all of municipal relevance such as schools, swimming pools, gyms, nurseries, auditoriums and parks, as well as roads, bridges, viaducts and dams which instead belong to the Region.

“In some cases - continues Salaris - there is talk of interventions that have been stopped for over twenty years , a situation of immobility that turns into backwardness and that puts us at the bottom of the national and European rankings in terms of infrastructural development and competitiveness”.
