The "Nuoro Week" started today in support of the initiative for the recognition of the Nuragic civilization within the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

First public release for the "Sardinia towards Unesco" association after the goal of inclusion in the Italian "tentative list", which will bring the nuraghi to Paris and will allow the design of a new model of sustainable development for the island.

The project was presented in Nuoro in the council chamber of the Town Hall, in the presence of Pierpaolo Vargiu, president of "Sardinia towards Unesco", the municipal councilor for social services Fausta Moroni, the archaeologist Maria Ausilia Fadda and the engineer Francesco Licheri, former president of the province of Nuoro and advocate of the Unesco experience of Canto a tenore.

THE INITIATIVES - From 22 to 30 November, the city of Nuoro will host a series of events in support of the UNESCO candidacy: an exhibition on the Nuragic civilization that will be open to the ExMe from Monday to Friday, while on the weekend, simultaneously with the review "Mastros", the exhibition will be hosted in the House of the buttresses. There will also be awareness-raising events for students, who can be accompanied by teachers to visit the exhibition. On Tuesday 23, at 11.30 am, at the Satta Technical Institute, the archaeologist Maria Ausilia Fadda will meet the children to show them the charm of the ancient Nuragic civilization.
