Udinese still has a significant list of unavailable players ahead of Saturday afternoon's home match against Cagliari, with issues primarily concentrated in the back line: Oumar Solet, Matteo Palma, Juan David Arizala, and Jakub Piotrowski, who underwent surgery on Monday for an arrhythmia and could return sooner than expected, are all out. The medical staff of Kosta Runjaic's team are optimistic about having him back after the break, for the away match in Turin on October 12th.
Nicolò Zaniolo is doubtful, but he could return to the squad and aim for a call-up. Alessandro Zanoli, now close to returning after a long recovery from his ACL injury in January, could also get his first call-up.
The emergency situation will also give Chakvetadze more time to play, while new signing Jovanovic is likely to be available only during the match for his debut in the black and white jersey. The absences are therefore concentrated in defense: Abankwah and Kabasele are untouchable, while Bertola and Ebosse are competing for the third jersey.
